Lockland Basketball Team Volunteers in Community

From Coach EJ Black:

On January 3rd, 2015, a few members of our boys basketball team went and volunteered at Matthew 25 Ministries.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Matthew 25 Ministries, it is an international humanitarian aid and disaster relief organization.

They have provided aid here in Cincinnati during the tornadoes that occurred in 2009 and 2012, they aided the victims who suffered from Hurricane Katrina, as well as the tsunami that occurred in Japan, and they provided relief for the victims after a tornado touch down Oklahoma. The extent of relief is not just limited here in the U.S., but it extends nationwide.

Our students got an wonderful opportunity to take a tour of the facility and gain some powerful insight to some of the things that we face in our country but also some of the things that less privileged countries are dealing with. In addition to the volunteering work they did, I truly believe that this was a very eye opening experience for them.
