Lockland Schools Strategic Planning Process

Lockland Schools Strategic Planning Process

Lockland Local School District Stakeholder,

The Lockland Local Schools Board of Education has contracted with the Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) to facilitate a comprehensive Strategic Planning process.  It is our hope that the process will be efficient and highly effective; resulting in a plan that will serve as a roadmap for decision-making, school improvement and student success over the next 3 to 5 years.

It is extremely important that a cross section of individuals from a variety of backgrounds, roles and perspectives are involved. We are seeking members of the Lockland Schools community to be part of this important endeavor.

On behalf of the entire Board of Education, I would like to invite you to become a member of the Strategic Planning Core Team. As a Core Team member, you will be actively involved all phases of the Strategic Planning process, which includes:

Core Team Session #1: Tuesday, November 19               5:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Core Team Session #2: Monday, December 9                 5:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Core Team Session #3: Monday, December 16               5:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Core Team Session #4: Tuesday, January 7, 2014            5:00 - 9:00 p.m.

No prior strategic planning experience is necessary, only the courage to be involved in a process that will positively impact your school system and the quality of life in your community for many years.

If you accept this invitation, you will be committing to all four sessions. It is anticipated that your commitment will end on or about January 15, 2014. A Core Team member job description and detailed process plan is enclosed with this invitation for your review and consideration. Please give this invitation serious consideration and confirm your commitment by emailing me at matt.bishop@locklandschools.org or call 513-563-5000 ext. 103 by November 1, 2013.

Thank you in advance for your willingness to participate and for your dedication to the students in the Lockland Local School District.

Matt M. Bishop, Ph.D.
