Instruction / School Improvement

The work of the Lockland School Improvement Committee recognizes that there are beliefs that are fundamental to educating our students. These Beliefs are grounded in sound educational research and require support by all the participants in the education community: parents, school and district staff members, and the Department of Education. For those Beliefs to become more than just words on a page, they must become Practices that can be readily observed and "Walk Throughs" when reviewing what is being done at Lockland Schools, reflecting on current practices, and planning what needs to be done in the future.

What are "Look Fors"

What are  "Walk Throughs"? "Walk Throughs"is a list of agreed upon practices that can be readily observed in each one of our classrooms at Lockland Schools. Our goal is to create classroom environments and student experiences that are consistent.  This consistancy will aid in better sharing among staff members and a happier parent clientile that can rest assure that no matter what teacher their child is assigned, rigorus standards and practices are upheld uniformally.
