Students with Disabilities
Students with physical, mental or emotional impairments that interfere with or prevent normal achievement in the classroom.
Inclusion Services – students are receiving special education services in the general education environment and are served by the regular education teacher and the intervention specialist. Modifications, accommodations, and adaptations are made to general education curriculum so that students can make adequate progress on IEP goals and can work toward mastery of academic content standards. Students are pulled out for small group instruction by the intervention specialist as needed.
Emotional Disturbance Services – special education services are offered to students who are emotionally disturbed and present with significant behavior concerns. Students can receive services in the ED classroom or students can be included in a regular education class for certain content areas and receive support and/or assistance while in the regular education classroom. Students served in this classroom are in grades K-5.
Minimum Amount Of Minutes Provided By Related Service Providers - Related services provided to students with disabilities are driven by the IEP team and are based on individual needs of the student. Therefore, the minimum amount of minutes provided by related services personnel to students may vary. Below provides a framework by which services are determined.
