Amy Wagar (12/14/2007)

Amy Wagar is commended for the time and commitment she puts into teaching. She has a true interest in working to improve the academic and behavior performance of her students. She has taken her first year at Lockland elementary and has maximized her learning opportunities to continue to build her professional knowledge. Her willingness to step up to the plate and take on a leadership role in her grade level and on building level initiatives has been noticed. She did an outstanding job of presenting to the staff the information gained through a professional development at SERRC. Thank you, Amy, for what you do to help our students learn each and every day!

Steve Herbold (1/4/2008)
Thanks for all the work you do on the weekly NFL football picks (even though I have never won any of the pools or even understand how the winners are determined!!!) On the serious side….I appreciate your presence at many of the extra curricular events during the school year. The students and coaches appreciate your support. Your “half time” schedule but full time presence at the school events is a tribute to your dedication to the kids of Lockland. Thanks for your time, Steve.

Peggy Cochran (1/4/2008)
Congratulations to Peggy for her dedication and hard work. Since arriving at Lockland she has worked hard to make sure the elementary school year book looks great. She is a leader among the staff and always very helpful. Thank you for all you do for the students and staff at Lockland elementary school.

John Gaughan (1/4/2008)
John does an excellent job of preparing our tenth grade students for the Ohio graduation tests in English. John has a reputation of a having a serious classroom atmosphere with students expectations set at a high level of performance. Many of john’s former students return to school with high praise for how john prepared them for their college English classes. John sets high goals and expectations for our kids.

Jamey Theilman (1/4/2008)
Jamey Theilman is truly a very valuable asset to the Lockland school district. Jamey first came to Lockland as a long term sub for Jenni Mutters. She did an outstanding job adapting to our reading and math program. This school year Lockland had an opening in 2nd grade and this was Lockland’s opportunity to hire Jamey. With Jamey’s knowledge of our curriculum and previous experience working with the 2nd grade team, she is a tremendous asset to the 2nd grade. Jamey has great organizational skills and works very hard to reach all of her students. Thank you, Jamey, for all you do for your students at Lockland. We are all very fortunate to have such a dedicated teacher.

Third Quarter

Sandy Buckner

Thanks for all your hard work and dedication.  Sandy works tirelessly into the early evening hours to maintain the rigors of teaching.  Sandy selflessly takes on the students that require additional help in both their behavior and academics.  She is also willing to tackle any changes that will help to ensure the success of her students.  Sandy also works hard to maintain a professional rapport with students and co-workers. Sandy, know that you are appreciated!

Michael Cole

Michael is very passionate about helping his students succeed in the classroom.  He goes above and beyond to make sure that his students are engaged in the activities in his classroom.  He always puts his students first and looks to find different ways to make learning interesting to his students.

Mike is very willing to help any student that is struggling.  He offers students the opportunity to stay after school for a study hall to get help in any subject that they are struggling with.  Michael should be commended for the job that he does both inside and outside the classroom!

Hamilton County Staff

Sheena Walton, Cassie Boyd,  Becky Bell, Jessica Blevins, Kelley Hensler,  Genise  Caldwell,  Debbie Reichard-Smith,  Annissa Keller

The above named professional educators are placed in our  “hearing impaired” classroom.  If you ever get a spare minute, please stop in and see their operation.  The students, along with these dedicated adults have been  excellent representatives.  Seeing children who can hear, signing and communicating with these students will bring joy to anyone who has noticed!

These students have opened up a wh0le new experience for themselves and the adults  they have come in contact with.

Thank you for your dedication  to the children who attend the lockland school district.  You have helped all of us to become more aware of this special group of students!
