The Fraternal Order of Eagles (F.O.E.) is an international non-profit organization uniting veterans in the spirit of liberty, truth, justice, and equality, to make human life more desirable by promoting peace, prosperity, and hope. The F.O.E. donates more than $10 million a year to local communities, fundraisers, charities and more. Each year the Reading Chapter, on Benson Street, organizes an essay contest for students in the valley to write about the topic of God, Flag and Country. Each year our staff have students enter the contest based on personal essays. This year congratulations goes out to Andrea Fotso-Nono for winning FIRST place in the Middle School age group and to Kadijatou Sow for an HONORABLE MENTION in the 6th grade age group.
