Mr. Bob Longworth serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction for Lockland Local School District. Mr. Longworth has spent over 15 years in public education as a classroom teacher, a high school assistant principal, an elementary / middle and high school principal and a K-12 Head Principal. After working in Reading Community City Schools and Cincinnati Public Schools for several years, he joined the Lockland Local School District in 2016.

The Office of the Assistant Superintendent is responsible for the following functions:

  • Alignment of curriculum and resources in all core content areas for grades K-12
  • Planning and implementation of district-wide professional development for all staff
  • Oversight and evaluation of teaching and learning, including the facilitation of K-12 Teacher Based Team meetings each week with a focus on utilizing data and best practice instructional strategy to improve teaching and learning in all classrooms for all students
  • Federal Grants Coordination and Comprehensive Continuous Improvement Plan (CCIP) development / monitoring
  • District grant writing to secure funding to support curriculum, instruction, assessment and technology
  • Resource allocation and coordination in all core content and elective course offering areas
  • Data analysis and disaggregation for the purpose of planning professional development, establishing building and district priorities and evaluating initiatives and programs
  • Development and progress monitoring of the Reading Achievement Plan with a focus on continued improvement in the area of literacy and graduation rates
  • Other responsibilities in the areas of evaluation, human resources, community partnerships, etc. as assigned
