Fifth Grade:

Google Classroom:

  1. Students should log into their school given google account. From the “waffle” in the right hand corner of the screen, students will choose the Google Classroom icon. (If students have not logged in before or they are struggling to find the class. The code for is clw2lcc and the code for social studies is l3i5xgn
  2. Students will then click either the Whalen ELA or Whalen SS box to access their materials.
  3. Once in the class, students will select the word “Classwork” from the options at the top of the page. Student assignments will be listed and students can begin working through them. Please be careful to read the instructions for each assignment.
  4. Remember to submit assignments as students complete them.

Read Theory:

  1. Students should access Read Theory to complete sessions of “Reading comprehension practice” for reading. This program can be accessed at https://readtheory.org/.
  2. Students should complete 2 different stories a day in the program. The desired student goal is that students should do a minimum of 10 stories a week.

Membean:

  1. Students should access Membean to complete a session of “Vocabulary practice” for reading. This program can be accessed at https://membean.com/ .
  2. Students should complete 12 minutes a day in the program. The desired student goal is that students should do a minimum of 1 hour a week.

Accessing 5th Grade Math and Science Assignments and Activities


Google Classroom:

  1. Students can access science and math assignments from Quizizz.com through the Google Classroom “Classwork” assignments page.

Moby Max:

  1. Students should access Moby Max to complete a session of “Fact Fluency” for math. This program can be accessed at https://mobymax.com
  2. Students should also complete math and science sessions in the program. The desired student goal is that students should do a minimum of (1) 30 minute session per subject per day. Subjects include: Math, Science
