Valedictorian and Salutatorian

Please join us in congratulating and celebrating Lockland High School’s Class of 2024’s Valedictorian Aissata Ndiaye and Salutatorian Bo John Hicks. Read on to learn more about each of these remarkable LHS scholars.

What are your plans for after high school?
After high school, I plan to go to college for the surgical technology program. 

Which extracurriculars and clubs have you been a part of?
Some extracurricular activities I participated in are the National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, Volleyball, and Softball. 

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
In 10 years, I see myself working at a hospital as a surgical technologist and, at the same time, continuing to study to become a surgical assistant.  

What was your favorite class?
My favorite class is the surgical technology lab at Scarlet Oaks because the things I learned there are related to the career that I want to pursue in the future. 

What is your greatest achievement during high school?
My greatest achievements during my high school years are being in the National Honor Society and passing the test to being a placement student as a Sterile processing technician at the Christ Hospital.

What are your plans for after high school?
My plans after high school are to attend Eastern Michigan University and then become a nurse.

Which extracurriculars and clubs have you been a part of?
I played football for four years, baseball for four years, and basketball for three years. I was a member of the National Honor Society for two years and was a member of the Student Athlete Leadership Team (SALT) for one year.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I see myself having a family while being a nurse and also being a referee for some sport because I just love every sport. I want three kids.

What was your favorite class?
My favorite class would be gym, but I sweat a lot, so it would have to be math to help me think.

What is your greatest achievement during high school?
My greatest achievement in high school would be having good grades and making friends.
