Dec Community Dinner flyer

Last month we held our first Community Dinner and it will not be the last. Thanks to our Board of Education we will continue hosting monthly Community Dinners for the remainder of this school year.

The Community Dinners are part of our ongoing, broader effort of encouraging and strengthening Family and Community Engagement. The Dinners are also filling a greater need. They are in response to the challenges many local households continue to face due to reduced food assistance benefits, strained community resources, and ongoing economic pressures.

The first dinner, held last month, was well-attended. Our cafeteria was filled with about 70 students, families, community members, Board of Education members, and staff who came together to share a meal, conversation, and connection.

Each monthly dinner will provide a warm meal, a welcoming space for families to connect, and opportunities to receive relevant educational and community information. The dinners are supported through community donations and district resources.

We hope to see more of you at our next Community Dinner on Thursday, December 11th, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Lockland Main Campus cafeteria. This month's meal will be generously provided by Olive Garden and sponsored by Anthem. See the flyers for details.
