Attention parents of 6th and 11th grade students.
We have important information to share regarding immunization requirements.
6th Grade Parents:
Ohio’s immunization law requires that all students entering 7th grade must have received both of the following vaccinations:
Tdap Vaccine
Meningococcal vaccine
Your current 6th grade student will need to show documentation of having received these immunizations by the time they return to school in the fall. You are receiving the information now so that you may notify the school if your student has already received the Tdap and Meningitis vaccine(s), or to make arrangements for your student to receive the immunizations before the "rush" this summer. If your student has already received the vaccines, please send an updated immunization record to school, or via email to jen.schierloh@locklandschools.org.
If your student has not already received the vaccines, please contact your student's doctor/clinic to schedule an appointment.

11th Grade Parents:
Ohio's immunization law requires that all students entering 12th grade must have received the following vaccinations:
two (2) doses of the MCV4 (meningococcal serogroup A,C,W and Y) vaccine (for Meningitis).
Please note:
The seconddose must be given on or after the 16th birthday
There must be at least eight weeks between the 1st and 2nd dose
* If the first dose was given on or after the 16th birthday, a second dose is NOT required.
Your current 11th grade student will need to show documentation of having received these immunizations by the time they return to school in the fall. You are receiving the information now so that you may notify the school if your student has already received the Meningitis vaccine(s), or to make arrangements for your student to receive the immunizations before the "rush" this summer. If your student has already received the vaccines, please send an updated immunization record to school, or via email to jen.schierloh@locklandschools.org.
